PROEAT
Accessibility

Accessibility statement.

We want everyone to be able to read our menu and find our food. This page sets out where the site currently stands and what we know still needs work.

What we aim for

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That covers colour contrast, keyboard access, text alternatives for images and support for screen readers.

What the site does today

  • Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to content” link.
  • Text and interface colours are checked against a 4.5:1 contrast minimum, including product badges and category labels.
  • All product images carry descriptive alternative text, and no information is conveyed by colour alone.
  • Animation is subtle and switches off entirely if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320px viewport and can be zoomed to 200% without loss of content.

Known gaps

  • The store finder returns regions rather than named stockists, so it can't yet give directions to a specific shop.
  • Nutrition tables show “confirmed soon” for products still in formulation, which is accurate but not yet useful.
  • The site has not been through a formal third-party audit or tested with a full range of assistive technologies.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site is hard to use, email hello@proeat.co.uk with the page and what went wrong. We aim to reply within five working days, and we will tell you what we can fix and when.
